If you've read my recent posts, you'll know that I now work for Benefit which means that I've been spending a huge amount of time learning and trying out products that I haven't yet used before. I was sent the most amazing uniform package a few weeks ago which included my cute little Benefit t-shirts, the beauty school work books for my training and LOADS of new makeup bits to try out... It's safe to say, it was like opening a little bag of heaven.
A few of the items included are ones that I own already but one of my favourite items that I haven't tried before was the Rock-itude cheek and lip set. I was instantly drawn to the beautiful rose gold and pink lace effect packaging, it's just so cute and looks amazing on my dressing table which seems to be a usual thing for Benefit products. I really need to stop falling in love with things just for the packaging.
Inside this little gold box of beauty are 4 mini versions of some of the most popular Benefit products - the Rockateur blush (3g), high beam (4ml), Benetint (4ml) and an ultra plush lip gloss (6.5ml) which all play a part in creating a pretty, pinky gold glowing 'rush of the heat' makeup effect which is perfect for the summer. The Rockateur blush is such a gorgeous, subtle shimmery pink shade that gives off such a noticeable glow on the cheeks. It has been one of my every day go-to blushers at the moment as it's definitely one of those shades that would suit absolutely everyone - this is probably why it's UK's no.1 best selling blush!
I've also been loving the high beam luminescent complexion enhancer which is a beautiful satin pink liquid highlighter designed to create a radiant effect when used on the brow bone and apples of the cheeks. It took me a while to get used to this along with Benetint which is the rose tinted cheek and lip stain (Benefit's first ever product to be produced!) as I found them quite hard to blend at first, but I think the best way to use them is to dab it on with your fingers and quickly blend it in with a brush before it dries. As for the lipgloss, it's a really lovely natural rose gold toned shade which is the perfect partner for the Rockateur blush. The Benefit lipglosses are super silky and easy to apply and they last for ages without any dehydration or drying on the lips. I'm not a huge lipgloss fan but it's nice to have that little extra included for when I do fancy a more natural look.
One of my favourite things about these kits is the fact that it gives you the opportunity to try the products out before buying the full-sized thing which is great when it comes to premium makeup brands that may be a little pricey for some people. Overall, I absolutely love the whole concept of these set and not only will I be buying the full sized version of Rockateur as soon as I get paid, but I really want to try out some of the other mini sets now too - especially the new 'do the Hoola' bronzing set which looks a-mazing!!! If you haven't seen that yet, then have a look on the Benefit site now. Don't blame me if you fall in love. You can buy the Rock-itude cheek and lip kit here for £25.50.
Have you tried any of these products? Which one is your favourite?
