As summer as approaching rapidly, I decided it was time to add some pretty and shimmery highlighters to my collection. I've only recently introduced myself to highlighters (I'm majorly slacking, right?) but they've definitely now become one of my staple day to day beauty products and I couldn't imagine them not being in my routine. My current favourites are the Mac 'Soft and Gentle' highlighter from a more high end range along with this absolutely beautiful iridescent gold highlighter from MUA which I'd class as a more budget beauty brand. I've tried so many products from MUA purely for the fact that the price tag of each product is so cheap but each product is at such high quality which influences me to add more and more to my shopping bag each time. I've tried lipsticks at £1 before and the pigmentation has been just as good as a Topshop lipstick.
When having a browse online for some new products last month, I was instantly drawn to this highlighter as soon as I saw it - I don't think the pictures do it enough justice if I'm honest but it is such an amazing gold shade that adds a perfect glow to the cheeks. The MUA website makes it look very yellow so I wouldn't be put off by that as it's actually a really pale gold shade that shimmers in any light. It was difficult for me to use it the first time as I didn't wanna ruin its beauty. If you're looking for a cheap highlighter with every aspect of a high end highlighter, I would completely recommend to give this a try. It has a lovely, fine shimmer without the chunks of glitter that you can sometimes get in shimmery products, which can be build able as well as looking lovely with minimal application. I can imagine it being suited to everyone and the fact that it's only £3 makes me love it even more. You won't find a £3 highlighter as beautiful as this anywhere, I can guarantee! You can buy it on the MUA site here as well as in your local Superdrug store.
What do you think of this highlighter? Are there any other MUA products that you would recommend?
