Hey everyone! I hope you're all well and had an amazing Christmas! It's safe to say that I'm suffering from the Christmas blues as I'm absolutely gutted that it's all over again for another year, but it was so nice to take some time away from blogging and spend some quality time with my family, friends and boyfriend - which mainly consisted of spending 90% of my time in snuggly pyjamas, eating pigs and blankets for breakfast, chocolate all day (everyday) and way too many glasses of prosecco.... Living the high life.
It seems to be a little tradition in the blogging world for us all to share a 'What I Got For Christmas' post and this is something that I absolutely love reading purely for the fact that I'm a bit of a nosey bugger. With that being said, although it's majorly delayed (due to a faulty memory card that my laptop was unable to read) I thought I'd share with you all what I got for Christmas from my amazing family and boyfriend... Yet again, I was ridiculously spoiled by everyone and YET again, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
BATH PRODUCTS & PAMPER GIFTS: It's safe to say that I now have enough pamper products to last me a very long time. My mum recently had a trip to America so stocked up on some of my favourite products from brands such as Decléor and Origins (the Ginzing moisturiser is my all time favourite) - along with some Sephora products and facial masks that I've never seen or heard of before so I can't wait to give them a try. I also received a couple of posh little sets from spas including facial and skincare products and the most amazing bath & body sets from Ted Baker and Laura Mercier. I can't explain how excited I am to start using the LM honey bath!
MAKEUP & PERFUME: This year, I was lucky enough to receive some bits that I've wanted for such a long time. My boyfriend got me the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit palette which has been on my wish list for as long as I can remember and it is possibly the most beautiful thing I have ever seen - I love every single shade and can't wait to start using it! He also got me my first ever Jo Malone perfume in 'Blackberry and Bay' which is such a gorgeous scent. Jo Malone is one of those brands that I see as a luxury so you can imagine how excited I was when I saw the bag under the tree on Christmas day. My mum got me a couple of Too Faced products - the Better Than Sex mascara and the Shadow Insurance, along with the NARS Laguna bronzer which again are products that I've wanted to try for ages! I also got a bottle of Chloé perfume from my auntie and a little travel set of Jean Paul Gaultier from Tom's parents which smell gorgeous!
UNDERWEAR, PYJAMAS & SOCKS: Whilst my mum was in America, she managed to make a little visit into Victoria's Secret and ended up going a bit mad on new underwear for me which is absolutely fine as it was something I well and truly needed, plus the fact that I've wanted some VS underwear for god knows how long! I'm so bad when it comes to matching underwear, I just tend to stick anything on in the mornings so it's nice to now have a few matching sets in my drawer. She chose 3 gorgeous sets, the fuchsia pink lace bra & knickers, the standard pink and white striped VS set, a black version of the pink (which I've already worn) and a few extra pairs of knickers, so I'm literally sorted. She also picked up a pair of the VS pyjamas in a really cute pink & grey striped pattern as well as these fluffy grey cable knit slippers which are soooo comfy - I'm wearing them as I type right now! Also - Tom's grandparents gave me this pack of festive socks which I absolutely love... along with some chocolate. I mean, what is Christmas without socks decorated with little puddings?
CHOCOLATE: Because what is Christmas if you're not waking up and eating chocolate for breakfast every morning leading up to it? I mean, that's what advent calendars are there for right? Surprisingly, I didn't actually receive as much chocolate as I have done in previous years - maybe my family are trying to tell me something. I think I went through all of this and more within 3-4 days. No regrets.
HOMEWARE & RANDOM BITS AND BOBS: My favourite part. As you all know, I'm a huge lover of anything and everything in rose gold or copper and my family know this too. My nan and grandad got me the rose gold Frendz headphones (I couldn't believe it when I opened them on Christmas Day!) - I thought it was so cute as my nan said she'd seen them on my blog wish list... I didn't even know she read my blog! Not only do they look amazing but they're also such good quality!
My mum always gets me the best stocking fillers - Lily Flame is one of my favourite candle brands and all 3 of these look and smell absolutely gorgeous which almost makes me not want to burn them. She also got me a gorgeous rose gold photo frame, a little ugg boot keyring and a mini emergency kit which comes in a tiny pink sparkly bag. I also got the Sophia Amoruso Girl Boss book from Tom which was right at the top of my Christmas list as not only is it Instagramabble (sad, I know) but it has such good reviews so I can't wait to start it.
My dad spoilt me rotten this year and got me the Olympus Pen EPL7 with the pancake lens kit. I can't even explain how over the moon I am to finally own one of these as it's something that I've been lusting over for months and I never thought I would actually get my hands on one - it's just the prettiest looking camera I have ever seen. My dad had told me that my main present wasn't gonna be here in time for Christmas (which I had stressed so many times that it really didn't matter), but he still felt the need to buy me a couple of 'little bits' to open on Christmas Eve when I came to visit him. God knows what his idea of 'little' was - as I was expecting some chocolates or something but he had got me a pair of Adidas Superstar trainers (which he had chosen himself!) and an Apple Airport time machine (a hard drive for my MacBook which automatically updates every 30 mins) - erm what?!
Then, to top it all off... My main present from Tom was a studio lighting kit with soft boxes for when I take my blog photos. This was such a special present to me as it was completely unexpected but was also something I've needed for such a long time as my bedroom is so dark in the winter which results in grainy, dark blog photos. He definitely done his research after listening to my moaning for months! (I couldn't take a photo for the post as they're absolutely huge) - but they are so perfect and I can't believe how thoughtful he was.
I am genuinely so grateful for everything that I received this year and so grateful to have such an amazing family and boyfriend who have yet again made this year's Christmas a special and memorable one.
