THAT FEELING OF SATISFACTION AFTER WRITING A POST
There's no better feeling than previewing a post that you've put a lot of hard work and effort into and having that sense of achievement knowing that you've produced that all by yourself. It can sometimes be stressful when writing, especially when you get those moments of writers block but the one thing I've learnt is to stay committed to it and if I need a break for a couple of days to clear my head, then I'll take one. I always think the outcome is worth well worth it in the end.
GAINING EXPERIENCE WHICH CAN LEAD TO EXCITING OPPORTUNITIES
I always add my blog link to my CV as I feel that employers for relevant jobs will take an interest and like the fact that I am committed and share a passion for something a little different to your usual hobby. At the moment, I work in retail which admittedly isn't my ideal future career - I'd much rather do something linked to my blogging which is why it's good to have that experience and to build up my blog to show what I can do on my own accord. Most jobs are looking for someone with individuality and with blogging, you're able to broaden your horizons and write just about anything you want. I also add my contact details to my social media accounts so that if small companies take an interest in my blog and want to send me samples to review, they can do. I've had a few companies email me already from doing this.
AN EXCUSE TO SPEND MONEY ON PRODUCTS THAT I PROBABLY DON'T NEED
The most enjoyable part about blogging. Every single month before I even get paid, I've already built up a massive list of favourites on my internet browser of the things that I'm gonna buy next to review. Most of the time, these are things that I've read about on other people's blogs and I'm interested to try out myself, but sometimes they're products that I haven't heard much about so want to introduce to others. I absolutely love receiving my deliveries and I probably order way too much than I should but I feel that I work hard to treat myself each month so I never feel guilty about it. Plus the fact that it gives me new things to write about so I can keep updating my blog regularly (there's the excuse).
A HAPPY AND RELAXING PLACE TO TAKE YOU AWAY FROM STRESS
This was one of the main reasons why I started up my blog in the first place. I wanted something to take me away from any stress from negative situations, whether it was a bad day at work or just one of those days where nothing goes right. I'm constantly thinking about what to write next so when I get home it'll be the first thing that I do. Sounds silly but I find blogging keeps me feeling calm and it's nice to have a hobby in something that can take my mind off things.
MEETING LIKEMINDED PEOPLE WHO SHARE THE SAME PASSION AS YOU
Explaining blogging to someone that doesn't do it themselves can be draining as half of the time they have no idea what you're talking about. It's nice to communicate with other people that share the same thoughts and passion as you, which also gives me the inspiration for new post ideas too. I've always kept my blog quiet until recently when I decided to share it publicly with friends and on my social media accounts, but I definitely feel that I found the confidence through other bloggers and the support and encouragement that I've received from certain people has made me feel even more proud of myself.
