With Rose Quartz being one of the Pantone colours of the year (something designer's get a little more excited about than most people), blush pink shades are appearing everywhere at the moment - which is absolutely fine with me. I thought I'd share some of my current favourite items based on this gorgeous shade.
#GIRLBOSS: It's safe to say that I absolutely flew through this book. I think it took me around 5 hours to get through the whole thing whilst sunbathing on holiday... I was pretty much hooked. As cliché as it sounds, I feel that this is one of those real-life stories that will give you the inspiration to get up off your bum and give you the energy to achieve your dreams. Sophie Amoruso was just a typical, young American girl who started off selling vintage clothing items on eBay which then resulted in building her own business (Nasty Gal) and becoming a successful entrepreneur. I've heard many people slate this book for coming across as unrealistic and arrogant, but the amount she has achieved purely through passion and with absolutely no funds or help from anyone else along the way, I really don't blame her for having a stroke of arrogance about her. I can honestly say that this is one of my favourite books that I've read in a long time.
VOLUSPA PROSECCO ROSE CANDLE: This was a gift from my mum's recent trip to America and the newest addition to my candle collection. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing and makes a lovely dressing table prop, but the key notes of prosecco and rose petals is the most gorgeous combination of scent. I always buy candles and end up not wanting to burn them as they're just too pretty to ruin when brand new, but the good thing about this one in particular is that I'll get use out of it in some way - whether it's a trinket box or even a small vase for some flowers.
H&M ROSE UMBER NAIL POLISH: If you're a lover of dirty pink nail shades then you'll absolutely love the Rose Umber shade from H&M. Although I wasn't too sure what to expect from the new H&M beauty range, I was pleased to find that they completely live up to their standards. The nail polishes come with a wide enough brush to make the application easy and fuss free, and you can achieve an opaque finish within about 3 coats which although isn't the most amazing formulation, the quality is considerably reasonable for it's £3.99 price tag. When combined with my clear OPI nail strengthening top coat, I've been getting a good week or so without any chipping which is quite impressive for a high street branded product.
TOPSHOP BLUSH PINK KNIT: I felt as though it was time to add a splash of colour to my wardrobe as I've recently noticed that I don't actually own an item of clothing that isn't either black, white or grey which is probably one of the reasons why I never seem to have anything to wear. I fell in love with a few blush pink pieces in Topshop a few weeks ago and this was one of the items that I came home with. With its high, rounded neck and folded-back cuffs, this is the perfect staple for the upcoming Spring months.
