I'm not gonna lie, I'm a sucker for an aesthetically pleasing beauty product. So much, that the way it's presented can sometimes determine whether I'm willing to part with my money. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of beauty staples that I'll repurchase over and over again purely because of the quality of the product inside, but when it comes to luxury products especially, I feel as though I'm more likely to consider buying it if it's presented in attractive packaging. In my opinion, if you're paying out a large sum of money for something on the higher end of the scale, it should deliver on the inside and out. Here are a few of my all time favourite swoon-worthy beauty products from a range of brands that tick all the boxes for me.
When choosing new beauty products with the packaging in mind, I'm instantly drawn toward the rose golds, blush pinks and whites. I'm not one for packaging that's too 'out there' as I feel simplicity is key in this case. With that being said, some of my favourite high-end brands that tick all the boxes are Charlotte Tilbury, Hourglass and Too Faced. I'm absolutely in love with my CT lipsticks and liners which are all presented in the dreamiest rose gold outerwear, whilst Hourglass go for quite simple but effective packaging [the Ambient Lighting Edit is a pure work of art], and Too Faced lean toward the more feminine and quirky side. I think Too Faced are just about as far as I'd go in terms of eccentric packaging as they seem to get it just right without being tacky.
Some of my most adored items are from the likes of Jo Malone and Diptyque. They're packaged in a simple, yet classy design and their colour palette always stays quite neutral. My Diptyque candles make an appearance in my photos quite often as they make great props too.
Perfume is another product that screams luxury to me. I absolutely love discovering new scents and finding bottles that'll look great on display on top of my dressing table. A few that have definitely lived up to their exterior standards are Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, Chloé De Roses, Alien Eau Extraordinaire by Thierry Mugler and of course, Jo Malone's iconic Blackberry & Bay which is one of my all time favourites.
Although my makeup choices are somewhat snobby, I tend to take a different approach when choosing skincare. There's no point in splashing out for a product that doesn't co-operate with your skin type just for the sake of the packaging, which means I have to take a more practical approach. And if the packaging is on point, well then that's just a bonus. A few skincare brands that have it down to a T with their product quality as well as their packaging are Laura Mercier, Jurlique, Clarins, Antipodes and Liz Earle.
