I've always been a huge fan of the beauty box concept as I feel it's the perfect way to try out popular products that you may have never even heard of before, for a much cheaper price. Out of every beauty box that I've tried in the past couple of years, the Latest in Beauty Glamour Edit boxes have always been a favourite of mine.
I've tried boxes such as Glossybox and Birchbox before and although the whole not knowing what's coming each month can be exciting, I found it a little hit and miss I didn't feel I wasn't getting my moneys worth some months so ended up cancelling my subscriptions. When I saw this amazing box on the Latest in Beauty site, I was instantly drawn to the fact that there was no need for any subscription and I loved how you can have a peek at what's inside before you commit to buying. Every few months, Alessandra Steinherr (the glamour beauty director) puts together a box of her beauty favourites, focusing on a certain season/subject and this time, it's all about our summer beauty must haves!
WHAT'S IN THE BOX?
Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals + Luxury Kabuki brush, Pixi Glow Tonic, L'occitane Shampoo & Conditioner, Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon, Caudalie Divine Oil, Seekers of the Sun Luxury Temporary Tattoos, Balance Me Super Toning Body Polish, Eucarin Sun Care SPF for face and Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish.
The products come beautifully packaged in a watermelon printed box which matches the whole vibrant, summery vibe. I'm so excited to try out every single one of these products! Starting with the Vita Leberata self-tanning bronzer, this is by far my favourite as it's something I've never even come across before. Like a normal bronzer, this luxurious product is to be dusted across the face with the complimentary Kabuki brush, allowing a natural tan to develop lasting up to 5 days. Amazing. Another one of my favourites is the Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish (featuring nourishing flower extracts to help strengthen the nails) - I've tried this out already and it has lasted for over a week so far with no chips at all. Shades may vary but the one that came in my box was Kensington Passage which is a beautiful orange/coral shade, perfect for summer and goes amazing with the Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon in the shade Peach on the Beach which I've actually tried out before and absolutely loved. The pigmentation and moisture of these lip crayons is to die for!
In terms of the other products in the box, the Eucarin SPF Face Creme, the Balance Me Toning Body Polish and the L'occitane Shampoo & Conditioner will be absolutely perfect for my summer holiday in Corfu as they are just the right size to pop into my suitcase. I've realised I need to stop packing full sized bottles of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner so these will break that habit of mine! Lastly, I haven't actually heard of the Caudalie Divine Oil before but I'm all for a multi-use product so will definitely give it a try. I've been looking for a new oil to apply to my split ends for a little while now so this could be my new staple!?
Overall, I am completely in love with this box and feel that it is definitely worth the spend. It has everything that I could ever need for my holiday next month so has definitely been a great investment. For just £17.99, you can't go wrong with something that contains over £90 worth of product, even if there are some that you wouldn't use.
What do you think of this box? Have you tried any of these products before?
